Can you find the snake, toad, scorpion, lizard and centipede in this badge? Together, these animals become the five poisons, the elixir of evil, which are chased away by the warrior riding on a tiger. This embroidered badge with animals and insects was made for children to wear to ward off evil during the Dragon Boat Festival in the Lunar fifth day of the fifth month, when, during the turn of the seasons, the five poisons start to breed.
