DescriptionBlack and white. A woman, left, fully dressed, and a man, right, still wearing a nightcap are seated at the breakfast table. A plate with pancakes is on the left and a large platter of interwoven bacon is on the right, with a pitcher of syrup between them. At the front of the table are butter, rolls, an egg, and a small milk carton. The man’s mouth is opened wide as bacon is shoveled into it. It’s hard to tell from the position of the hands in the center whether he or she is feeding him. A raised hand above the hand doing the feeding is pouring something from a bottle.Provenance
