DescriptionThis horizontally oriented still life painting depicts a white platter of fruit at the center of the composition. The mix of fruit appears to include apples, pears and plums. The platter rests on a white tablecloth with a center crease that covers a wooden table, the surface of which is severely tipped towards the picture plane. The table is positioned in front of a window that occupies the left two-thirds of the composition. The window reveals a dark and moody, clouded sky. Beyond the table at the right is a dark brown wall.ProvenancePurchased from Wade Wilson Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1995;
