DescriptionThe Print Society's commissioned print by Norman Akers. This work is a continutation of his four-part "Uncontested Territories" print series created in 2014. Elements of landscape, a distorted map, iconic presidents in flying saucers, a stereotypical Indian in a Plains headdress, two human hands (forming a "cat's cradle" - a game played with string), and two buildings are used to evoke concepts of "the other," "the alien," and artificial borders.Provenance
