DescriptionImage of an intersection with signs that read "Broad Street" and "Plymouth Ave". At the far end of the street sits a tall building with a steep gothic steeple and lightning rod.Gallery LabelRick Hock was fascinated with the detailed description of 1800s documentary photography, which informed his large format photographs of Rochester, New York. Rochester is the headquarters for the Eastman Kodak Company, housed in the 19-story Kodak Tower (pictured here). Hock’s choice of subject was personal as well as artistic: he worked at the George Eastman House (now George Eastman Museum), named for Kodak’s founder, which houses one of the United States’ oldest collections of photography and film.
