NOTES:
[1] According to Marc Leo Félix, in documentation provided at the time of the object’s purchase, NAMA curatorial files, this mask was in the Lemaire collection before World War II and was sold when Galerie Lemaire went out of business in the late 1960s to a Flemish collector, from whom Félix purchased it. The identity of this collector is currently unknown.
