DescriptionA negative image, showing the arc of the rising sun, with pattern of the reflected light off the ocean's surface. Image was made directly on this sheet of P.O. P. printing paper, with a very long exposure. The heat of the focused sun's rays burned a hole through the paper along the path of the greatest intensity of light; scorch marks visible on back of print; residue of heat and smoke faintly visible along path of the burn in the image. This print is from a small body of work utilizing 20X24 inch sheets of printing-out-paper, which has not been manufactured in the U.S. for a number of years.Exhibition History
