DescriptionA teapot and pedestal. The teapot is a central cylindrical form with brach forms extending as the handle and spout. One side of the pedestal has been cut away to reveal small spiraling forms that recall the rings of an ancient tree. Overall the piece is covered in a variety of glaze colors and patterns broken up into areas including stripes, zig-zags, checkers, and speckling. Additionally, gold luster has been applied on potions of the branch-like handle and spout.Copyright© Estate of Ralph Bacerra
