DescriptionImage of a floral still life with woody branches and closed blooms.Gallery LabelThis still life features a carefully arranged vase of magnolia buds, blooms, and branches. Trained as a textile and wallpaper designer, Adolphe Braun turned to photography for inspiration after growing tired of the hand-drawn floral motifs that were popular in commercial designs. He quickly found success as a photographer and soon expanded his portfolio to include landscape and architectural scenes.
