In her Landscape/Loftscape series, Marcia Resnick pairs two photographs of deceptively similar subjects. The top image, taken outdoors, serves as a model for the bottom picture, which depicts a miniature studio recreation, cobbled from various materials found around Resnick’s New York City loft. These whimsical pairings call into question the way we read photographs as "truthful" depictions of their subjects.
