Description"Manifest Destiny (Sarah Polk)" depicts a standing female wearing a crown, an elaborately patterned flat bodice and black skirt. She is framed by red curtains and set against a blue background. In her right hand, she holds a red heart pierced by an arrow/cross, and in her left, a miniature version of a gray-haired man in a suit holding a banner that reads: "Manifest Destiny". Also depicted are a suspended ceiling candelabra, a golden reliquary arm holding a playing card, a moth, and red cherries scattered on the floor.
