DescriptionCircular, white porcelain lidded, handled pot with underglaze blue and brick red enamel decoration of flowers. The exterior of the base is decorated with two registers of flowers. Relatively large-scale chrysanthemum-style flowers on red with gilded centers decorate the exterior of the bowl of the pot; above is a band with a red trellis pattern and around the underside of the rim, red enameled flowers. The top of the rim is painted with densely packed blue and red flowers with gilding. The handle is decorated with a red, enameled heart near the bowl's rim with flowers descending on the outside of the handle. The interior of the base is undecorated. The lid is painted with underglaze blue and red, enameled flowers with gilding; the finial or handle of the lid is decorated with underglaze blue and a gilded star motif.
