DescriptionImage of three men standing in a row; they are wearing matching aprons and tall hats. This half plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat stamped with an elaborate rope motif and the maker's name ("J. Gurney") in the lower left corner balanced with the studio address ("349 Broadway") in the lower right corner; it is inside of a case with a deep maroon leather covering embossed with a lyre and ornate scroll motif, and a red velvet liner with a floral and scroll motif.Published References
