Sonya Noskowiak was one of the pioneering members of the purist photography circle known as Group f/64. She studied with and assisted Edward Weston, the group's central figure, for several years. While his influence is seen in her work, Noskowiak's pictures reveal an altogether personal balance of graphic clarity and physical delicacy.
