Charles Swedlund created this photograph by making several exposures on a single negative. The resulting image reinterprets the human form as part of a dynamic, multifaceted composition. After graduating from the Institute of Design, Swedlund went on to have a distinguished career as a teacher, including several decades at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
