Famed for his tight close-ups of natural forms from the late 1920s and early 1930s, Edward Weston's work grew broader in both subject and viewpoint in the following years. He traveled throughout the American West in the late 1930s, using his 8 x 10-inch camera to record landscapes from Arizona to Oregon in his now-classic purist style.
