Gallery LabelWhen displayed on a shelf or desk, these rabbit mates would bring love to a family. In Chinese art, rabbits are auspicious for their gentle nature, and Chinese folklore tells of a rabbit that has lived on the moon for thousands of years. The slim green collars of these rabbits suggest that they represent domestic pets. Look closely at the rabbits’ inner ears — how are they different?
