DescriptionThis vertical, multi-media drawing shows a group of five American Indians on horseback. The group appears to ride from the viewer's right to left. The surrounding landscape is vaguely described and includes a mountain appearing faintly in the distance and the evocation of dust in the foreground. A note from the artist to a friend appears prominently at the bottom of the composition. In the note, Russell thanks a friend by the name of Joe for pictures he recently received from him.
