DescriptionA six-panel screen depicting whaling activities during the harvest. The main scene is concentrated on the fifth panel where four whalers are cutting the fat from a whale. Other scenes include retailers selling and shipping whale fat, figures boiling the fat into oil, and many kinds of small businesses which are selling lacquer ware, cloth and medicinal tea drinks.
