[1] Liulichang is a street in Beijing known for its antique and curio shops. In a letter to Langdon Warner, Nelson-Atkins Advisor on Asian Art, dated March 31, 1933, Laurence Sickman described obtaining "three fine, strong Han" horse heads at the request of Nelson-Atkins Director Paul Gardner.
