Exhibition History
Painted Worlds: Color and Culture in Mesoamerican Art, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, November 1, 2025-February 8, 2026.
Provenance

With Everett Rassiga, Inc., New York, probably no. E-163, by March 1966;

Purchased from Everett Rassiga, Inc., by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, 1966.

NOTES:

[1] A label on the back of the figure, which is partially obscured by the object’s mount, seems to read ‘E-163’. This would match with the inventory of objects Rassiga sent to the Nelson-Atkins in March 1966: “E-163 stone figure.”
