Mrs. Tracy C. Weltmer (née Baldwin, 1892–1984), Kansas City, MO, possibly 1957-1968 [1];
Her gift to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, 1968 [2];.
[1] The Kansas City Star documented Mr. and Mrs. Weltmer’s trip to Tibet and Afghanistan in 1957. As this was their only known travels to Tibet, the Weltmers may have acquired the sculpture during this trip, The Kansas City Star, August 4, 1956, p.61.
