Gallery LabelHirschvogel was born in Nürnberg (Nuremberg), a city in southern Germany. The Hirschvogel print depicts the relationships among the buildings, the bridge and the water with great clarity, giving a feeling of peace and serenity. It is possible that this represents a real place, but the buildings have probably long since disappeared.
