[1] Aurel M. Hare was the wife of S. Herbert Hare of Hare and Hare, a landscape architecture firm. S. Herbert Hare studied under Olmstead at Harvard University. Hare and Hare worked on several master planning projects, notably the Country Club District and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
[2] Note in the files states that this platter was from the Indian exhibit on view during the Wembley Exposition held in London in 1924. Passport applications for Mr. and Mrs. S. Herbert Hare and Mrs. Eva Worrell Murtey, her mother, for six-months travel in Europe were issues in 1924 per Ancestry.com.
