Gallery LabelGlenn Wheete’s The Willow Tree shows a tranquil scene of life in a traditional Southwestern pueblo. Each of the colors used in this woodcut required its own separately carved block. The muted earth tones of the polished mud plaster that covers the adobe structure and outdoor oven in the foreground required at least four different blocks, while the foliage of the willow took three blocks to create.
