DescriptionThis border, which has been turned into a collar in the 19th century, matches that making up 32-22/11 B and 32-22/11 C except that the plaited line and decorative insert stitches that formed the lower edge are missing. Also, the larger squares are flanked by rows of smaller squares, a feature missing on 32-22/11 B and 32-22/11 C, but no doubt original to the lace.
