DescriptionSeated figure of Guanyin in modelled with the right knee raised, the right hand resing upon it, left hand holding scepter (ruyi), elbow resting upon arm rest. Arm rest is supported by cabriole legs with ogre mask knees and claw feet. The figure wears voluminous robes, lotus pectoral, has pendant ears and a top knot secured by a ruyi hair ornament. Glaze color is warm ivory.ProvenanceGlen W. Dickinson;
