[1] An invoice from G. T. Marsh & Co. for Sickman's purchase of a "sandalwood priest" is in the Nelson-Atkins Archives, MSS001 Laurence Sickman Papers, box 7, folder 7. It is not known definitively if this invoice pertains to this particular object, but it is the best option based on its description among the objects from Sickman's collection.
