Every element in Warren Davis’ etching epitomizes the carefree attitude synonymous with the word frolic. His delicate, wispy lines convey breezy, uninhibited movement. The three women balance on their toes, immune to such mundane realities as gravity. Their hair and gauzy clothing enhance this effect of joyful weightlessness, swirling about them in graceful arabesques. Even the tree in front of which the maidens blithely dance sways back and forth.

Think about how you feel right now. How would you convey that feeling simply through lines on a page?
