NOTES:
[1] According to Robert L. Stolper, in a letter to Martha Stout, Registrar, July 13, 1982, NAMA curatorial files: “This came from the Walter Kaiser collection in Stuttgart, who is both a collector and dealer and he had it for some many years prior to selling it to me. Even he does not remember how long he had it. However, I had it for about 10 years mostly in storage, then sent it to the States, where it had been stored, and finally gave it to your Museum.”
