Gallery LabelLike many of his contemporaries, Gu Jianlong, learned landscape styles from old masters, rather than directly depicting scenes from nature. These two sketches follow the early masters' method of depicting landscapes in mineral blue and green, yet they reveal a high level of skill in the handling of the ink and color washes and brushstrokes.
