[1] Object documentation in the Nelson-Atkins files identifies this print as one of a special edition of 50 impressions handprinted by Jacques Hnizdovsky for The Print Club of Cleveland, Ohio. According to Leona E. Prasse, Lyonel Feininger: A Definitive Catalogue of his Graphic Work (Cleveland: Cleveland Museum of Art, 1972), 303, this posthumous printing was made in autumn 1971, “from the woodblock given to The Cleveland Museum of Art by Mrs. Lyonel Feininger.”
