This column is one of a group of four paired columns that relate to 36 other double columns and their capitals from the cloister of Labastide-Villefranche, now partially reconstructed on the grounds of the Château Bijou between Toulouse and the Pyrenees. The capitals are decorated with fantastic beasts, heraldic shields and musicians.
