Gallery LabelThis print is inspired by the hunt of the unicorn, a popular subject of medieval tapestries. The unicorn’s horn was supposed to purify water, as shown here, and was thus associated with the triumph of good over evil. The artist here displays his skill in depicting the animal world in the various graceful creatures lining the pool.
