DescriptionTwo oversized crowns made of a flat oval plane of wood with numerous dowel rods jutting out all over the top surfaces. The dowels are taller at the front of the crowns and shorter at the back. Both are painted on all sides in a variety of colors. The top crown is painted in primarily warm colors, evocative of day, white the bottom is painted in primarily cool colors, evocative of the night. When stacked on one another they are able to free stand and are suggestive of a sea anemone.ProvenanceCommissioned by Robert A. Hiller, Stuttgart, Germany, by 2017;
