DescriptionThis vertically oriented, largely black-and-white drawing features a sign post with multiple signs stacked atop one another. At the very top of the street post is a rectangular vertical box that features the lower-case letter “i” within a circle; beneath the “i” on one side are Chinese words in English (pin-yin) and the other visible side has Chinese characters. Beneath the box are horizontal signs written in Chinese characters with English word translations beneath that also feature image graphics on to the left of the text and arrows to the right. This sign post sits in front a sign with the word “Road” and more Chinese characters, as well as what appears to be a fence and trees. An orange and black, coiled, toy snake is drawn in the center right side of the artwork. The snake appears to be placed on top of the overall image. It obscures a lot of the text on the image in the background.Exhibition History
