DescriptionOn the right, a Japanese woman with an elaborately curled and arranged wig with pink and red ornaments gazes into her reflection in the black-framed, circular mirror on the left. Part of the woman’s proper right hand can be seen between the two, tweaking the wig. Pale yellow walls with wood struts are visible in the background as well in the mirror. A window with a view to blue sky and two rows of barbed wire is at upper right.ProvenanceC. Richard Belger and Evelyn Craft Belger, Kansas City, MO;
