DescriptionThis is a sheet of drawings resembling a comic strip. A series of nine panels in an irregular arrangement contain hybrid creatures with some insect- and squid-like features, reminiscent of aliens from science fiction. At the upper left corner of the sheet is a panel labeled with the title “Goggs,” containing three creatures, each different in color and shape. Directly below, there is a panel against the left edge of the sheet labeled “Galaxstreicher” in which one large creature sits. The top part of its head is a gray structure, and the rest of the creature is colored shades of brown. The panel to its right is not fully enclosed. It features a creature with an off-white lower section and a long, vertical head or appendage that tapers up toward a blunt tip. The appendage is mostly army green in color, but has a pink and gray part. A large panel in the upper right of the sheet is labeled “Lobsänger” or “Lobfänger” and includes one large figure in the left half of the panel. Three smaller panels are arranged in a row below, each framing a “bust-length” portrait of three more creatures. Another small panel below them frames a creature that is drafted only in black pen. The final panel in the lower right corner seems to be a tiny landscape scene, darker overall than the rest of the panels.Provenance
