DescriptionBeyond densely leaved trees joining at center top is a wide three-storeyed tile-roofed windowed building (the Villa d'Este in Tivoli, Italy) approached by a vertical series of double stairways with center arches and entablatures. At bottom center is a single stairway with railings; at right are two draped sculptures of standing figures, and at left a standing torso. At bottom center is a table inscribed VEDVTA DELLA/VILLA ESTNSE/IN TIVOLI. Three staircases and tree branches form a double image of the proper right profile of a large-jawed man (Franz Liszt).
