DescriptionThe painting is square in format and depicts a grid of 72 squares, painted in red, pink, blue, green, orange or yellow. A different Hindu or Buddhist deity is rendered in polychrome in each square, identified by inscriptions. Dark grey, red, and tan swirling snake forms connect various cells.Exhibition History
