DescriptionImage of a man identified as Orlando Ballou standing next to a horse. The bearded man is dressed in a wide brimmed hat, long-sleeved shirt, pants, and boots. He rests his left hand on the horse's embellished leather saddle. This half plate ambrotype is housed in a brass mat with a burgundy velvet liner inside of a traditional brown case with gold tooling along the perimeter.
