DescriptionImage of a man and a woman. The man is kneeling and looking up towards the woman; she has one hand on his forehead and the other in his hand. This quarter plate cased daguerreotype is housed in a decorative brass mat inside of an unadorned black leather case with textured finish, blind tooling, and push-button clasp. An embossed deep purple velvet liner reads "Hesler's / Metropolitan Gallery / Lasalle St. Chicago".
