In this view several of the / "sun-spots" are visible; the principal or larger one / is seen at the left upper edge, two others (one large) / are seen near the right-lower point or edge. / The lines seen crossing each other at right angles in this / view do not belong to the sun but are the "Spider-lines" / made for the purpose of determining the angles of position, / one being parallel to the earth's equator the other / perpendicular to it. - See other views."
