In the mid-1960s Ray Metzker began to experiment with making single works of art from an entire roll of film. The individual exposures were printed onto long strips, giving the impression of uninterrupted movement across space and time. Organized in even rows, the prints appear like frames for a movie laid out in an abstract tapestry.
