DescriptionCreamware punch bowl with transfer-printed image of a coat of arms of "The Shipwright's Arms" with a sailor and a merchant on either side of the crest within the well of the bowl. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with three portraits and a crest: one of LaFayette, printed here as "Fayette", with "The Nation's Guest" below; a portrait of Franklin with "Ben Franklin L.L.D.F.R.S." printed above the portrait and "Born in Boston. New England. 17 Jan 1706" printed beneath; a portrait of George Washington with "Washington" above and "His countries father" below; and, a crest of an eagle with the phrase "pluribus unum". The word "Republicans" is printed above the crest and "are not always ungrateful" is printed below.
