Their gift to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, 1935.

[1] Before Laurence Sickman assumed his role as curator of Oriental art in June 1935, he completed his commitments in China and traveled through South Asia and the Middle East during his return to the U.S.  While in Delhi, this sculpture was one of three objects donated to the museum by Imre Schwaiger, a  Hungarian art dealer.
