NOTES:

[1] According to dealer Marc Leo Félix, in documentation provided at the time of the object’s purchase and email correspondence with MacKenzie Mallon, Specialist, Provenance, February 13, 2013, NAMA curatorial files, this figure was in a French officer’s collection and supposedly represents General de Gaulle. The identity of the French officer is currently unknown, but the object was probably in a Mr. Quirin's collection.
