[1] In a letter to Langdon Warner, Nelson-Atkins Advisor on Asian Art, dated March 31, 1933, Laurence Sickman described purchasing "a remarkably large, clear and almost complete tile from the palace of Ch'in Shih Hwang Ti - the half circle tile with a T'ao Tien mask, quite a good one."
