DescriptionLarge round flat-bottomed bowl set upon 4 feet. Each foot of a volute setting upon a flat octagon covered with icanthus leaves; large icanthus leaves on bowl above each. Raised reeded pattern around lower half of bowl, gadroon border around upper edge. Two partially fluted u-shaped handles, a lion head protruding from the bowl where each end is fastened. Stepped lid with u-shaped handle similar to others. Large icanthus leaves on center of lid under handle. Marks on tureen beneath upper lip: P.S., lion passant, leopard's head crowned, date R, king's head.
