DescriptionRectangular boat-shaped body, curved and tapered sides, stands on four ball-shaped feet. Curved spout is rectangular in cross section. Hinged rectangular cover is domes, with rectangular finial. Continuous frieze of bright-cut floral engraving on shoulder. Concave area just below the cover is gadrooned and bears applied shell embellishments on its corners. At top is chased with a repeating foliate leaf motif. Wood handle, possible ebony.
